I never said it is impossible, so shut up. What I meant was:
"Windows can game better than every other OS. " sounds stupidly trollish.
If you didn't mean the entire last line then don't say the entire last line. And yes, Windows can game better than any other OS if you use decent hardware. It should be pretty freakin obvious that something that is emulated won't preform aswell as the same thing not emulated.

By the way, you are not using the word "game" correctly.
Back on topic: no, absolute garbage, results tell otherwise: all of the games that run natively on Linux run better on it rather than on Windows. Emulating? I think you mean using WINE. Doing a comparison like that is not fair.

No, I'm not using it incorrectly. Just because I'm using it in a way that doesn't make entire sense to you doesn't make it incorrect. "All of the games that run natively on linux" I never said that the games that can run natively on Linux perform worse than on Windows. I said that Windows can run more games better than other Operating Systems.
Linux is my choice! I can program and write shell scripts on the fly that functions so much better than Windows. I have all the programs I will ever need (except a good paint program and with web design that is a large drawback.....) and keep a computer fast with lightweight systems and less viruses/malware than even Apple WITHOUT sacrificing customization or access to the core of the machine. Not to mention that its strain on my pocket book is ZIP and the hardware is the same cost as Windows (same hardware, same price). It can even run on a Mac if you wanted. around 90% of super computers are Linux. and 6% are unix.
Windows: I'm ok with it, its better for gaming and has a larger array of softwares. I HATE programing for it though. So annoying and overly complex. I still do it though. A big problem is that it doesn't patch its holes, but releases patches that really just COVER them, not seal them. 1% of super computers run Windows.
Apple: the software is really ok. Its too closed up, but that is how they decided to keep it from ever crashing. Oh Apple does come with some good multimedia stuff, that works better than Windows, and runs faster than Linux. Thats a definite strong point for Mac. Its worse for gaming than Linux (only has more games because apple is still a bit more popular than Linux). And as far as the look, I can make a Linux look exactly like it, and make a Windows closely resemble a Mac. (make it look like the software, not the cases lol.).
Now the hardware is BULL. You spend up to 500x the cost of an equivalent piece and up to 200x the cost of a MUCH MUCH MUCH better piece. To add there are NO super computers running Mac, the closest are the Mac testing machines Apple has.
And the only mac desktop I put value upon is the mac pro, which would cost me around 3100$ for HDD, GPU, changing thermal paste, Screen, mouse, webcam, keyboard, and a radeon 5870
$30 for the OS and hardware that's cheaper than a PC's hardware in many cases (iMacs)?
Damn dude, you be trolling!
The 27" iMac is the only competitively priced computer they have, and it's only barely competitive. For that to be a good argument, other models would have to be good for the price compared to Windows based OEMs.

So, to stir the pot a little, I'll mention that I just got the new iMac :tongue.gif:. 27", i7 3.4ghz 2600K, 2TB HDD, 4GB RAM (Purchasing 8GB more for $65 more, so I'll have 12GB RAM in all), ATI 6970M 2GB.
Cost? With the education discount + app store free card + taxes, it works out to well under $2500 (including the extra RAM).
And for the record, gaming-wise Linux is worse than Macs, which are worse than PCs.

You sir, need to learn the difference between the number of games available and the ability to run them. Go back to iIgnoranceLand and compare iBees to iElephants there.

Becuase apple uses non-standard 7-pin connectors in the new iMac's HDD. And a **** firmware in the drive makes it impossible to use a standard Barracuda XT/Caviar Black in the new iMac.
i think it's a 2600s, not a 2600k
and you have a LAPTOP GPU IN A DESKTOP
not to troll here I love macs, but i hate their hardware

I've come to the conclusion that you don't really know what you're arguing about, but you know that it pisses someone off. That's the sole purpose of you posting about Macs, and their 'superiority' without actually backing it up. Any time you're questioned, you just call that person a troll.

Linux.
More specifically Ubuntu.
Using prices I found on Amazon.com:
Windows 7 is about $200 - $250. Upgrade: $100
Mac OS is about $30 - $50 (Possibly upgrade only?)
Ubuntu is exactly $0.
Linux.

Windows 7 for $200?! What planet do you come from?! Windows 7 is only about $100! Where the hell do you get your information? Unless your talking about Windows 7 ULTIMATE..
All of it.
For your information, Minecraft and other games that run natively on Linux run better on Linux than on Windows. :smile.gif:
Couldn't help it.
Time to sit back and watch you say it doesn't work.

Too bad Minecraft doesn't run natively on Linux. It runs natively on the JVM, which runs natively on Linux and Windows and Mac.
I know. By natively I meant without something like WINE.
