If you're going from not an SSD to any SSD, then it'll be worth it. You will notice a difference.
OCZ makes good drives. They're behind only Intel when it comes to speed. I have an older OCZ Vertex, and the newer Agility series is faster than it is, so you'll be satisfied.

I am pretty sure their new vertex 3's are better than intels. That is a great drive though.

Way too much buck for the bang, in my opinion.
What size are you looking at anyway?
It doesn't really matter anymore, and what do you mean by "Way too much buck for the bang"? I was orginially going to get a Corsair Force Series F40 40GB, but then they went out of stock, so i went with an OCZ and they were only like $10-$20 more but the OCZ is 60GB, keep in mind that I'm from New Zealand.
I'm also planning to Run my OS and a few games of my SSD.
I believe it's too expensive, improvement is not worth the price and last time I was looking at them they had the problem of limited number of rewriting.
Yes, they can only rewrite a few hundred million times, which only gives you about a few million hours of use. As for performance, they do operate at about 5x the speed of magnetic platter drives, and seek times are reduced to nanoseconds instead of milliseconds, making them about one million times faster than magnetic platter drives in that respect.
Too bad the rest of a normal PC can't keep up, so you can appreciate only a fraction of those magical numbers.
Except that the hard drive is the slowest part of any computer by a factor of 1 million. While the rest of the computer gets stuff done in nanoseconds, it can take whole milliseconds for hard drives to complete an operation. Literally millions of cycles can be wasted while waiting for it.
Yes sad have limited uses and its not getting better but that's why you put windows Firefox and a few games on them you would waste a ssd if you just stored family photos on it.

Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
Thanks for the advice. I'm sure to be getting one :smile.gif:

I actually bought a OCZ agility3 sata3 120gb the other day and it is GREAT. No problems or complaints whatsoever its perfect
Yay! Good feedback :biggrin.gif:
I've been looking to buy one.
