For me, mac. I like how big the screens are, its faster, has better font, and is easier to do stuff on. Oh and no lag on games unless the client is overflowed.
You can get bigger monitors on PC's.
It's not faster, your PC just sucks. You can change font on windows. PC has more programs available for use than OSX. And I have 0 lag on any game because I have a good computer.

I'm not sure if you want to compare Mac OSX and Windows or Apple Hardware with IBM Hardware?
1. Big screens work on both (hardware)
2. There's plenty of faster IBM based hardware out there (hardware)
3. You can adjust the systems default font as you like (software)
4. Depends on the task and how used you're to it (software)
5. This is complete ********
I think you have absolutely no idea what the hell you're talking about. Especially at the no lag on games unless the client is overflowed part I facepalmed (seriously, how did you come up with this).
Please get your **** straight before embarrassing yourself.

And what about it? 500$ cheaper normal laptop had bigger HDD, more ram, better gpu and only slightly slower cpu than MBP 15".
And the overpricing can be seen very clearly from apple's site: http://store.apple.com/us/configure/MC723LL/A?mco=MjEyOTY4OTQ
- 0,1Mhz better cpu costs 250$, woooow....
- Extra 4Gb of ram 200$????!!!!
And what about iMac's? http://store.apple.com/us/configure/MC511LL/A?mco=MTg1ODA4MDM
- 0,13Ghz faster cpu, 200$ more.
- Extra 4Gb of DDR 1333Mhz ram 200$, extra 12Gb of ram 600$, what??!! Do you know how cheap ram is these days?
- 1Tb -> 2Tb HDD, 150$.
If you still say that macs are not overpriced, you are totally retarded.
You DO know that aftermarket RAM/HDDs work in the Macs, and in fact that is what I usually do. Save cash, NO computer company sells RAM as cheap as aftermarket RAM.

If someone can show me a laptop around this size with equal to or greater specs, I will forever praise you. As long as it's cheaper.
As for the OS, I find that my Macbook is best for the simple day-to-day tasks, like when I'm at school and wanna just sit and maybe Minecraft a little, or for doing my homework. But my windows partition, (A feature Windows itself does not infact have!) it's better for gaming. And other various tasks. But never for the internet, I always download things on mac side first.
How can we find one that's cheaper if you don't tell us the price of the current config (at least $3000, if not more, I'll bet)? Not going to humor you, Macfag.

AAhh.... For me, I would technically be paying... 1,900$. The market value, (From Apple) is around 4,100? Don't ask why I'm paying less. It's complicated.
@_j03_
I haven't bought it yet... And Me personally wouldn't be paying for all of it.

If you can get a mac for half-price and you like the Mac environment.... then go for it. There isn't any way were going to beat that price without applying a similar discount.

If we did, we'd be getting 2 better laptops, for free.

None of those are exclusive to Macs. And all but "easier to do stuff on", have nothing to do with the OS.
You like Macs because you've been conditioned to.

You're kidding, right?
In the future just stick to saying "I liek Mac.... derp!"

Also, most MBPs and iMacs Apple currently sells are VERY close to the competition in both hardware and price.

Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
What software do you use? I don't do much editing right now, but ~1 year ago when I was doing a lot of it I used Final Cut Pro.

I've used a bit of AVID, but I really enjoy the Adobe software. Considering that FCP is the new indie film standard, I may have to try it.

Yeah, it's a ***** to learn, but once you get the hang of it it's perfect.
Now I'm trying to get my hands around Blender and Motion... THOSE suck to learn.

Whatever. But hey..
I just like Macs, don't know why :biggrin.gif:
Although, I would quite enjoy it if someone could post where I could get a computer that does compare the the 15 inch Macbook Pro?
No, I'm being serious. I've looked all around, and I can't find any other computer that really compares to the MacbookPro15 I might be getting.
2.3GHz Intel i7 Quad-Core
8GB RAM DDR3 1063MHz
512Solid-State drive
AMD Radeon HD 6570 w/ 1GB GDDR5 RAM
15.4' Screen, 1680x1050
