I found this video about this helmet that uses a magnetic thing to artificially start a phenomenon called "the god experience". Put this helmet on and you experience god!
According to this guy, god exists in our heads.
Why aren't people caring?
This is something id buy...

One day, there will be someone who looks at my signature and wonders "who gives a damn?"
"god" is a term for something that feels higher than us, not necessarily religious.
The "god experience" is that you feel like there is something higher than you, as if something else is there.
I find it interesting that there is a helmet that can make these visions happen artificially!
I bet in the future there will be a religion based around the use of that helmet.

Actually, I think religion is what gives us reason to live.
There's a lot of people that prove this statement wrong. Religions have the side effect of convincing people that they're actually necessary for some aspect of your life. There's plenty of people that get along perfectly fine without them and their very existence demonstrates that any claim about the necessity of religion with regard to living your life isn't true.

Never attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by incompetence.
I hope we can keep this discussion civil, anyway here is my thoughts:
For me my reason for existance, as with any living thing, is to pass on its genes and continue its its species in the best possible way. What i mean by this last bit is that we should use or lives and interlect to produce the best outcome for future generations. This for me is my reason for living.
That had nothing to do with the helmet.
Only you, you self centered egotist!
Please talk about the helmet, and only the helmet.

And not to mention, i think it works pretty effectively considering its been used multiple times.
Being alive is damaging in the long term.
(you dont wanna prion...)
Id pay around 1000$ for the thing, although i bet it would be even more pricier.
It is. :tongue.gif:

^^This
Just take a dose of psychedelic drugs, and I guarantee you'll see whatever you define as "god", for very much cheaper than some high-tech helmet.
I think it's because it's not mainstream enough.
