So my BIOS does not support booting from usb, i have the latest update. damn i guess i'm screwed... but wait! i found PLoP http://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager.html i stumbled through installation with the help of a few youtube videos. i edited my boot.ini and plop loads like it should. however, upon trying to run DSL from a thumbdrive, my computer crashes and reboots. i tested the install with a virtual machine, and it indeed works. the only potential problem is that i am using a significantly older version of PLoP, but it shouldn't rely matter should it?
