Now I just need an compiler.
Anybody have a download link to GCC?
Because when I go on the gcc.org website, it only tells about release info and no download link.
And my tutorial only has support for GCC... :\
If you get an IDE such as Code::Blocks, Dev-C++ or heck even Microsoft Visual C++ it will come with the compiler set up and ready to work at a single button press. Far easier than farting about manually.
I'll try Visual C++.
But for now, I have a Java program on my hands.
So what is it that he did by having 43, 45, 42 and 47 in there? are those the ASCII character locations?
Yes, but they were never actually treated as a char type anywhere, so there wasn't really any point in doing that. Additionally, he was reading a 32-bit integer into a 16-bit integer so there was a chance that something would blow up.
