I have an old computer but have made a few upgrades;
Windows 7 Professional
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7600 @ 3.06GHz 3.07 GHz
RAM: 8GB
System Type: 64-bit
Display Adapter: ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro
I added extra RAM and a graphics card after buying the computer, it ran minecraft quite poorly before that. It's a great computer if you consider the fact that the computer plus all the added stuff only cost me $160. But the amount of work I spent on it is more than most people.

I would probably spend up to 30 extra dollars to have windows 7 instead of windows 10, I'm used to it and I like the way it looks, I find that windows 10 looks a bit drab.
Agreed. I got windows 8 because I thought it was good, but it turned my PC into a laggy cheap tablet. Next best thing was to upgrade to windows 10 ... it's a little better
Nice! Pretty cool laptop!
Yeah.. about the Xeon... it's from my dad's old rendering server. I mean, hey. it works!
Really OP for what I use it for... rending animations. My Titan X Pascal and the Xeon are all at 100% load when rendering one, and at 4k it takes about 2 hours to render a 1 minute animation.

Didn't realize it! You are sticking with the old-school Core 2 duo
Zoostorm StormForce Hurricane Gaming PC
Win10 Home Edition
Intel® i7-7700 (3.60 GHz) Quad Core™ Processor
The ASUS Prime H270-PRO motherboard
16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 HyperX Fury Memory
1TB SATA 6.0Gb/s 64MB HHD
128GB M.2 2280 SSD
NVIDIA 1070 6GB Graphics
Old BenQ G2420HD monitor (1920 x 1080)
Even older keyboard & mouse!
I got that from the site I bought it from although my D drive says 2.72 TB, so I think I must've gone for the 2TB option?... Anyway I was strugling before with a dual core, Nvidia GTX 750 graphics card. Optifine is no longer essential, but a choice - just for shaders.

It's just a waste of a processor.
I'm gonna have to agree with johntecool though I can swallow you having a xenon, but the rest is pure bull crap.
Agreed. Especially since when you render, usually either CPU or GPU get 100% load but not both. Also I kinda doubt those render times. I once rendered one frame, 8k, 24 bit color depth with my shitty cpu and it took 24 hours.

Wait wait wat.
I don't claim to be a computer or animation expert, but that seems ridiculous. I think some Pixar frames took longer to render than that.
First clue is that the CPU name is formatted differently from the rest of the post. Though the more damning evidence is that you claim to have 16GB of DDR4 RAM, but a 12-core E5-2697 @ 2.7 GHz. In case you weren't aware, the only 12-core E5-2697 is the E5-2697v2, which does run at 2.7GHz, but it doesn't support DDR4 memory. Yeah, no, I am afraid you will have to show us some proof here. How about a speccy screenshot or something?
Also don't we already have a "Show your system" thread or something?
My specs are in my signature.
I looked at task manager and wrote my post... no copy/ paste :\
And if it doesn't support DDR4 memory, how is my computer running rn...
And not sure if we have a show ur system thread or not
Hey, just wondered what your guy's specs were on your PC's. No idea why, just something to talk about
Intel Xeon E5-2697 12-core Processor @ 2.7 GHz
Titan X Pascal
16gb of DDR4 RAM
500gb SSD w/ 5tb HDD @ 7200RPM
Win 10 Home
3x 24" 4k Monitors @60hz
10 in · 1024 x 768 Monitor for keeping an eye on CPU / GPU usage
I have an older system ..
i5 3570K
16Gb Ram
250 Gb SSD - Win10
GTX 960
2 - 2Tb HDD for Video Storage
2 - 23" Samsung Monitors
Mixer

Just curious, that's all.
Nice! Those were around my specs when I first got a PC
I LOVED windows 7! Lucky!

What the actual hell.
Too lazy to open Dxdiag. Here's my PC.

Win10 Home
i7-6700 @3.4GHz
16 GB ram
GTX 1070 8GB
256 SSD
1TB 7200 rpm HD
2 27" Curved Samsungs
Pretty much handles everything I throw at it.
When running Fantasy Grounds for D&D I throw a 3rd 27" Flat panel in the mix also.
Nice! Wish I had curved screens
Lucky that I have the PC I do now though ...
I only got this tower in December 2016:
Zoostorm StormForce Hurricane Gaming PC
Win10 Home Edition

16yrs+ only
My rig:
CPU (crappy processing unit): AMD FX 6300
GPU: Asus ROG gtx 1060 strix
8GB RAM
Still no SSD
1TB HDD
OS: Windows 7/Ubuntu 17.10 dual boot
And before someone tells me that my cpu is seriously bottlenecking my gpu, yes I know. I mostly use Ubuntu and have win 7 mostly for historical reasons. I plan on getting an SSD when I'll have some money to spare
I'm a redstoner and a modder.
