I'm really torn on this one, I appreciate the freedom of linux but since I finally threw ubuntu on my laptop I've run into more fiddly little problems that take an hour to troubleshoot than I ever had with windows 10. Plus the whole gaming thing, I've kept windows on my desktop for almost exclusively that reason.
On the other hand what really pushed me to try linux in the first place were some of the decisions Microsoft has been making recently, yeah I can turn off all the data collection and ads in windows 10 (and I have) but imo they shouldn't be there in the first place. Just charge me once for the operating system and leave me alone, you've managed to make that work up until now. What changed?
