Although I am unsure it can run minecraft off of or other games. If anyone knows any decent laptops please tell me! My price range is $100-$300! Any help would be fine! Thanks!
You wont be able to run any games on a chromebook.
Bollocks, Chromebooks can run games. Not top-of-the-line or graphically intense stuff, but certain models can play well with older games. If you go the Chromebook route, look up how to create a Linux chroot in developer mode and then install Steam. Oh and make sure the Chromebook has an Intel processor, not ARM. And a few models, its possible to upgrade ram and storage, but they stopped allowing that in later models. Some old ones, like the Acer C710, have an actual hdd that can be swapped for an ssd, instead of using the eMMC modules that just about all of them use.
Acer has some problem in heating. be aware of that. However, for that price tag, Acer Chromebook is a good choice. Plus, it is very hard to reset the password on Acer laptop if you unfortunately forgot it.
