The i5 is fine. The 7770 is just quite weak in comparison, and very unbalanced with an i5, especially for gaming. Nowadays I'd consider a GTX 760 or an R9-270 the minimum you should use with an i5.
Corsair's AXi PSUs support Corsair Link, which I believe works quite well for monitoring power usage.
Also, I think HWMonitor supports some power usage features, but I wouldn't ever trust software-only solutions.

Other notes: Spent waaayyyy too much on this system. But running editing programs at lighting fast speeds, playing all games above Ultra, and 5 second boot times are pretty cool. Planning on expanding to 2 GTX Titan X's in SLI and upgrading my monitor to three Dell 4K monitors. Really wanted to have an i7 5960x CPU, and stick some DDR4 RAM in there but the Haswell-E technology is still pretty new and fairly expensive.
I also have a Startech.com 10GBPS internal ethernet card running CAT 7 to my NAS storage server. I only wish my internet was that fast...

Last Tuesday I added a Sound Blaster ZXR to my computer for no reason. It's on-topic because I posted previously on my setup and that is now part of it. ZXR because if I'm going to buy something unnecessary I may as well get the overpriced edition.
PC I built from used parts i had lying around and bought online:
CPU: Intel i5 2500K @ 4.5GHz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212+

here is evidence u said that: http://prntscr.com/6mjcm0
so if what you just said applies to a intel extreme edition (like in the other post) then the other guy probably needs a GTX 980
soo... Don''t be so quick to judge.
I'm pretty sure he was giving the guy advice, especially since he quoted that post. Also, what's the point of making fun of him for doing that anywho?

K95 RGB / Logitech G502 PS / Alienware AW3418DW / ViewSonic XG2703-GS / Sennheiser HD 598
...is it too much? I was planning on getting 4k monitors when I get the budget.
I have the Lenovo Erazer x315

I have a Benq GW series 27 in Monitor:
It's way too much for 1080p.
however 4k is a wholleeee different story
