Other Peripherals: A Logitech m510 mouse, generic backlit keyboard, a Scythe fan controller, and my sound system (Some old home theater equipment- Sony STR-DE695, two Cambridge SoundWorks cube speaker... things, and a Cambridge Soundworks sub).
Operating System: Windows 10 Home
Other notes: That's it now. I'll upgrade my CPU eventually, but for now it works fine.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If the post you're seeing this on is from before 2016, you should probably ignore it. I had no idea what I was doing back then.
Setup/desk has changed quite a bit since my last post, time for an update methinks.
New monitor (Viewsonic XG2703-GS - 1440p IPS G-Sync 165Hz), new desk + monitor arms (Ergotech Freedom), new GPU (MSI GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X), and mouse (G502 Proteus Spectrum, love it). I also have a delidded and binned 5.2GHz i7 7700k in the mail at the moment, chasing higher clock speeds.
I'll grab a photo of the actual system when installing the 7700k.
CPU - Intel i7-7700k overclocked to 5.1 ghz Mobo - ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero GPU - ASUS GTX1080 STRIX-OC RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws 16GB DDR4-3200 HDD1 - 512GB Samsung 960 Pro M.2 SSD HDD2 - 3TB HGST SATA HDD3 - 42TB iSCSI target Case - Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA 650 Cooling - Corsair Hydro series H100i
Monitor1 - ASUS VE248H 24" Monitor2 - AOC I2269VW-B 22" Monitor3 - ASUS VZ229H 21.5" Monitor4 - LG 24EC53V-P 24" Monitor5 - HTC Vive Pro /w wireless adapter Mouse - Logitech generic wheel mouse Keyboard - Das Keyboard Professional 4 Sound - Mobo integrated going to a 500W amp and out 4 12" subs, 2 6.5" mids and 2 1" tweeters
Need to order more RAM, VMs leave my system tight on memory. Also going to get another 512GB 960 Pro and run them in RAID0 to bump up my OS drive. Damn SteamVR games eat a lot of space, lol. Thought about upgrading to i9/2080 but so far I haven't had any issues in the games I play so I figure it's just a waste of money.
