There are plenty of members in the Science, Computers, and Technology subforum of the Minecraft Forums who deal with the hardware side of computers. This thread is a place to share your system's part lists, pictures of your system and setup, and anything else related to your technology! When posting information, it's recommended to include pictures in Spoiler tags, so as to reduce page length and loading times for members. If you're unsure of how to post a list of your system's components, read further down to find out about Speccy.

In order to make it easier for everyone to interpret what's going on here, it's recommend you utilize the part list tools supplied at PCPartPicker, which you can find here. Add your parts to the list, and export to BBCode utilizing the export function to the top right. If you don't wish current prices to be shown, edit them out.

Speccy
Unsure of your system's specs? Not a total geek who has them memorized by heart? Not to fear! There is a wonderful program called Speccy, which allows you to get an idea of what components are in your system. We encourage everyone to post a picture of the output from Speccy. In order to do so, just follow these instructions:
Download and Install the Speccy program. You can find the official download page at this link. Do note that you do NOT need to purchase the Professional version. Simply download the Free Version from the FileHippo or Piriform link. The FileHippo link will take you to another site, where you can click on the download button shown to the right. The Piriform link will take you to another site, whereupon the download will start immediately. Caution: Be very careful when downloading any software, even from trusted sources. Read carefully when looking for the correct Download button.
After installing Speccy, run the program. It will take a few moments to generate all of the information.
Take a screenshot of the program.
Open an image editing program, such as MS Paint, GIMP, or Paint.net.
Paste the saved screenshot in, and save the picture.
It is highly recommended to crop out personal information that may be in the picture, such as usernames.
Upload the saved image to any image hosting website, such as Imgur.
I would have an awesome picture to show, but my desk is an absolute mess right now. I need to just grab a trash bag and throw away a ton of old papers.
Runs sony-vegas and multiple other cpu/ram intensive programs brilliantly. It's mainly for rendering/video editing, but I do a little bit of gaming on the side.
Dang. That's nice.

You should do something before everything melts and your HDD is really hot

I agree. My HDD is a cool 23 celsius xD
Apparently my static SSD is hotter then a disk spinning at several thousand times a second... Seems legit. TBH it is mounted nearly right under the CPU. The case allows the installation of an SSD on the panel that the motherboard rests on.
There are my systems I had:
------------------------------------
Intel Core i7-3610QM @ 2.3 GHz
15.6 inch wide HD display screen
4 GB RAM
750 GB SATA HDD
NVIDIA GeForce 610M 2 GB
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
Sony VGN-NW270F:
15.6 inch wide HD display screen
4 GB RAM
320 GB HDD
Intel Core 2 duo (2.20 GHz)
Intel GMA graphics
WIndows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
Asus 1002HA:
Intel Atom N280 @ 1.66 GHz
10.1 inch wide HD display screen
2 GB RAM
160 GB HDD
Intel GMA 950
Windows XP Home Edition 32-bit SP3 (UPDATE: Windows 7 Home Basic 32-bit)
Yep, because you have an i5 paired with a 7730/50/70 which is obviously the best computer in the world.
For your info that was actually the best i5 on the market at the time. I don't actually need an i7 because I do not need 8 cores/4 physical+4logical.
The 7770 actually is quite decent. Depends what game. Battlefield 3 and War Thunder on high.
ALSO to note I've the only computer listed here with a €50 sound card because I have a high quality sound system. (Also extra bragging rights: It is a QUADCORE soundcard )

An i5 and a 7770 is extremely unbalanced. I'd take a Pentium and a 270 any day over that.
