Well,I asked for a iPad Air 2 with LTE for christmas and i thinked, should i actually get the old or new iPad Air?
ALSO,DONT RECOMMEND ME ANDROID,i want to have my apps i brought and not buy it again with a 50$ Google Play gift card
Well what i want is:
last a long time until the last mayor update for it is made
play intensive games at max settings
watch 1080p video even through my internet is weak (upgrading to 8mbit 2015 christmas, currently i have 4mb)
posibly replace my laptop (minecraft sucks on pc,pe edition is very close to pc in features, more powerful than my pc,has console graphics thanks to iOS 8 Metal and powerful graphics)
if i were you go with the newest ipad even though older ones might be cheaper they will not get the newest updates in time and games will stop being working with them
(but the real question is why get an ipad? android tablets i mean really only nexus tablets are awesome nexus 7 anyone?)

Depends. Considering the iPad 2 is still sorta decent, and it's 4 years old, i wouldn't really worry in terms of how long they last.
I would however not recommend a 16gb iPad. My 32gb iPad is almost always full, and a 16gb is just too small, especially when there are now games that are like 2-3gb each.
Either get a 64gb iPad Air 2, or try to at least get a 32gb iPad Air 1. either of them will easily last 3 years or so

Android is probaly too complicated,i dont care about customization and i won't bother buying all app i have on my ipad on android

quite frankly,16Gb is enough,i have Gta bundle, goat simulator, turbo dismount, roblox and minecraft, plus youtube and a few lightweight apps and the total space on my ipad2 is 12.5GB,then i have about 8.4 left, all apps i mentioned takes about 4.1 GB,keep in mind that the iPad 2 is dad's iPad,so i will have 3.1 left currently
You are aware all of this games you mentioned don't run on an ipad air 2, right?
Uhh... wat wat
i played goat simulator on my dad's iPhone 6 Plus with A8 which is similar to the A8X from iPad Air 2 and it ran butter smooth
where did you heard that?
No time like the present to break the Apple app. chain and move on with your life. No offense is intended here, as this is my honest opinion.
I'm also not trying to bash Apple's products and ecosystem, I just think there are better options. (By better, I mean more reliable with more features and customization.) A relatively small portion of what I do at my job is troubleshooting and supporting user's mobile devices, and there are many Apple hardware/iOS bugs, compatibility, and reliability issues that I and these device users run across.
This isn't to say that Android devices don't have the same (or even greater) potential to have troublesome issues. There are all kinds of Android devices out there, and despite having similar core OSs, they are very far from all being equal, potentially even comparing the same kind of devices, depending how different users use them. I often find that I have to catch myself so that I don't digress into incoherent rants when I see how buggy and poorly performing some of my friend's Android devices are.
Both Apple and Android devices often have some initial OS version upgrade and implementation issues, sometimes even to the extent of breaking the intended primary functionality of these devices. It has been my experience that these kind of issues are overall more prevalent with Apple devices. This may be due to the long OS update waiting time for many of the mainstream Android devices.
With all that being said, it is my opinion (and experience with both using and supporting these devices) that well set up and designed Android devices just perform all around better. Stock vanilla Android (once they work out the kinks) is a very solid and powerful OS, and if you're into rooting your device and taking its functionality to the next levels, there are many powerful and useful tools at your disposal, depending upon the extent of your needs, and if you're willing to take a bit of time to have a look around.
Many people seem to just want something they don't have to figure out nor think about as much. So maybe Apple devices are a bit of a better way to go for them. Personally though, I won't settle for the ignorant complacency of a walled garden. Just don't perceive too much of what's in front of you, or you may find that the roses are only painted red.
Anyway, long story short, get what you want for the reasons you want it most. I'm just sharing my perspective.

Now Android is far more cost effective and ALOT MORE POWERFUL DEVICES but whatever floats your boat I guess...
The iSmack iPad Air 2 is just a glorified iPad Air with Touch ID. You don't need it so why waste €100 on a fingerprint scanner.
Who cares if it's more powerful. Apple devices are and always will be faster. Also Android tablets suck in my opinion. I tried the new Nexus 9 and it lagged and stuttered a lot. Plus it felt cheap
Well,i just gonna lock myself in the iPad Air 2 16GB w/ LTE,most people except Alexx (his opinion on Android is quite similar to mine, and similar that my family always uses Apple devices, when you get Apple stuff too) seem to not appreciate Apple that much.....

How about we agree that some people like apple for reasons and some people like Android for reasons. And focus more on the actual question of the post. I think both apple and android are great in their own ways.
I personally have just the regular iPad air 32GB and it's great, haven't ran into space or preformance problems and have had it for about a year. I dont have expierience with the iPad air 2 but depending on what your doing the old air is great.

I do agree that the Nexus 7 2nd gen was great for a while, but it wasn't that great for long. A friend of mine got it when it came out, but now it's pretty slow.
Also I've directly compared my iPad 4th gen to 3 different Android Tabs (Nexus 7 1st gen, Nexus 7 2nd Gen, Galaxy Tab 10.1 3) and the iPad destroyed the 1st gen Nexus and Galaxy Tab, and beat the Nexus 2nd gen by quite a bit. This is just comparing boot speed, launching apps, scrolling speed, and just overall feel.

i still have my nexus 7 2nd gen with android lollipop and its even faster then it was before i mean i have no slow down with it at all no lag at all with it

Why do you need a better camera on a tablet? You look like a clown holding up a sign at the airport.
Fully laminated display? I don't think the Air 2 has that.
Powerful A8X huh? Gee gosh lets just see what is in my tablet over here... Oh an i7! What a suprise! (Surface Tablets)
