Hey guys! I'm new here, and I need some help with a mod I downloaded, known as Advent of Ascension or Nevermine. It was extremely hard for me to work this mod and figure out how to download the best and newest version, but eventually I got it.
I heard that this mod adds in hundreds of new mobs.
And that's my problem. My world is literally FLOODING with the mobs from Advent of Ascension, and no mobs from the other mods. (Lycanite's, orespawn) I also think that the mobs are SUPER annoying. They blind you and poison you, giving you a terrible time playing. The problem is, Advent of Ascension, aside from the mobs, is one of my favorite mods. What should I do? Plz help (P.S I play on survival often and I don't like to set it on peaceful cuz there would be no point. The mobs are still flooding on easy mode)
Even if I'm on easy, the mobs are still flooding the world. I don't like to play on peaceful because I'm playing survival and there's going to be no point. Thanks anyway
If you REALLY want to get rid of them, create a new world or go on peaceful or easy on your current world.
Is there any way to edit the mod and delete some mobs? That'd be great. I'm going to try opening the file and seeing what I could do. Again, thanks for your help and time
Yeah, I'm also frustrated with Advent of Ascension for this. It's big and detailed, but the mobs saturate the world (and tend to be more powerful than I'd agree with for over world things anyway). I've looked through the configs and there's no way to reduce their spawn rate as far as I can tell.
However I saw people mention Lycanites causing spawn issues on another thread (although it may have just been an old bug), so I'm going to try taking it out myself just in case and seeing if there are any changes.

I guess this game are meant to be played with multiplayer... more than 3...
Even with 3 player including me 4... This mod just damn... first 3 block from spawn point and "today is good day to die" message pops-up...
we were like "what the ffft!"...
No config option, lycanite mob don't do anything in this case... just AoA2 being dominating in the spawning system... whatever mob mod are put in the minecraft.... which is kinda yeah... frusty..
I tried this on single player.. but still not used with the sound... (lycanite mob event are even worst, but the monster not hard tho so, less suprise)...
Even during lan multiplayer with my roomate, we still use sidekick characters...
one of my roomate uses Little Maid Mob..
another just spamming alot of minions... slow draggy... right, when anything happens we just leave him... kek.
me myself use the Familiar. I do not believe in pets..
I think you are better than me in this mod, but im gonna tell anyway... island base nearby the plains is the safest.. for early game...
(but i dunno if you have Departed mod pack, it might be different)...
Well, the nice thing about Lycanite's Mobs is the fact that its configs make it very flexible. You can make mob events less common or turn them completely off. You can make certain mobs spawn less often, prevent them from spawning in ways you don't want them to(for example, I turn off mobs that spawn when you farm crops), among other things. Unfortunately I have yet to find a way to alter the Advent of Ascension spawning. I'm gonna keep looking, though...

I've not encountered that issue before. Are you running any other mob or spawning related mods? Are you sure that AoA is installed on the profile you're playing on?

There is a wiki to the mod. and I follow that to progress in the mod. I also recommend using the xray mod cus the ores are hard to find and risky to find. There also strategies to fight the mobs.
Sure, the wiki helps a little bit but it just can't fix the horribly broken balance. If you have to use x-rays because the mod is way too hard, there's an issue. Strategies are good too, but the only strategy that beats the world being populated with mobs that are immune to damage until you reach "x" hunter level is the /Killal command.

The mob spawn rate for AoA will go through the roof if any other mod with mob spawning is installed without a proffesional modpack like FeedTheBeast (FTB) part of the process to help balance out spawn rates and such, and there will still be alot of mobs although fairly bareable, and the messages you get are for events which add even more mobs that tend to be harder, which if you get really often is also a side affect of having other mods outside a modpack. Like what Armakeen said this mod is ment to be challenging and also meant to be played as a stand alone. The only mod you may want to add is HEE or Hardcore Ender Expansion which adds stuff to the end which AoA doesn't (AoA only adds stuff to Overworld and the Nether as well as its own dimensions), and even then I would suggest a FTB modpack with it, because then it will run both and you'll get some helpful mods and the rest can be ignored, the only other reason to get HEE with AoA is that they are similar in difficulty levels.

I'm glad you agree. I have no idea how to do anything with configs. I'm kinda a noob with modding :3

Odd. Is your Forge installation up to date, and do you have the most recent version of AoA?
