I'm looking at the code for 1.11.2 for the potion for example:

if (!worldIn.isRemote)
        {
            EntityPotion entitypotion = new EntityPotion(worldIn, playerIn, itemstack1);
            entitypotion.setHeadingFromThrower(playerIn, playerIn.rotationPitch, playerIn.rotationYaw, -20.0F, 0.5F, 1.0F);
            worldIn.spawnEntity(entitypotion);
        }

EntityPotion is not the same entity as the Item entity for potion if I were to press e to drop or toss the item on the ground that way also so there's that too, which made me question if it were possible.

So EntityPotion would need to be like EntityPotion entitypotion = new (itemStackIn)EntityPotion (worldIn, playerIn, itemstack1); or something like that.

I need this:

            worldIn.spawnEntity(entitypotion);

        playerIn.addStat(StatList.getObjectUseStats(this));
        return new ActionResult(EnumActionResult.SUCCESS, itemstack);
    }

Being the on right click event for spawning a thrown entity similarly but it uses shrink instead, to spawn the item entity instead of the entity for that item that is spawned when you right click, which is readable.

But then there is not gamemode 1 or gamemode 0, so then how are you summoning an item form of the block?
