Hi, I was recently trying to add (not replace) my own sounds for an adventure map. Created a resource pack with a pack.mcmeta which the game is able to detect. From there I created sub folders with an .ogg file and a sound.json.
Something isn't right and I can't seem to find the problem. Wrong file in the wrong folder, something wrong with sound.json...I don't know. Please help.
Btw should the command look like this if its working?: /playsound minecraft:ambient.test player @a
Folder structure looks like this:
\/ resource pack
.\/ mysoundmod > contains pack.mcmeta: {"pack":{"pack_format": 4,"description": "New Sounds"}}

You also need to register it in the proper registry event, like you would register an item or block.
Teleporting XP, for when you want to improve performance with XP farms
Ok I did some searching and found even more confusing info. So I have no idea how to register stuff.
Do I need to use forge to create a mod?
If yes, the forge docs are very confusing as they don't show how a mod/file structure is setup.
