Hey, I just finished creating my first mod using that MCreator program. I used the option to download the mod to my desktop, then moved it to my Dropbox account. I made sure the link for Dropbox was a direct link(changing the ?dl=0 to ?dl=1), and also changed the folder from zip to jar. It runs as vanilla from the Technic launcher though. Everything runs fine from the test environment on MCreator though. I'm not sure what the issue is. Possibly Forge? I assumed it would already be in the mod from the program I used. Sorry for being a nub. I've been trying to get help from the MCreator forums, but it is pretty dead there. TIA.

Step 1. Don't use MCreator, it creates bad code(World gen methods in Item classes, pointless if statements, etc) and is limited in what you can do.
Step 2. Learn Java, take a look at https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/nutsandbolts/ https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/concepts/
Search out other resources too.
3. Learn to use Forge, there are a bunch of tutorials around, just google them. If you can build the mod in MCreator, it won't be hard to recreate.
4. Recreate your mod

Thank you very much for the straight forward answer. I should have known MCreator was too good to be true. I spent a month working on this mod, but hey at least I got all of the graphics out of the way. Definitely going to bite the bullet and learn Java now, as I really enjoyed the time I spent making this mod. Thanks for the links.
