The Minecraft community has been begging for more hues in natural blocks like stone and wood, and with the end update I believe comes with a HUGE opportunity for more purple blocks in the Minecraft color pallet, a color we are immensely lacking.
Item 1: Purpur
Purpur is a staple of the end dimension, the main block used in the end city structures, but it is grossly underused in all other aspects of the game. Adding a purpur stone or ore to the end dimension would both give us a beautiful new lilac block set similar to the other stone variants with raw purpur, polished purpur, smooth purpur, and chiseled purpur (could possibly represent shulkers or endermen), and a more sustainable way to collect purpur as a resource in building.
This expanded purpur block set would add opportunities for revamping end cities with the new blocks and give builders a wider variety of purple blocks, which are one of the least abundant in Minecraft's pallet.
The current crafting recipe using popped chorus fruit would either be replaced with or changed to include the new purpur stone/ore.
Item 2: Chorus planks
Chorus as it stands is, while a very interesting mechanic, extremely overlooked due to its limited uses, and with the purpur stone being added and removing one of those uses, adding a new set of purple planks similar to bamboo's block set where the stalk of the plant is collected and crafted into planks and other wood-set blocks, including stripped variants, this would give Minecraft's player base a new reason to seek out chorus plants!
The regular variant would be a striking deep purple, a revolutionary addition to Minecraft's wooden block pallet, while the stripped version would be a pale, light purply grey color, another addition as a true neutral color that could host endless new opportunities for builders.
