Since Steve and Alex are in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, they received Amiibo like every other fighter featured in the game. They do absolutely nothing notable outside of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. For example, they just give you random items in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom and coins in Super Mario 3D World. That is understandable to why they have generic functionality in those games, but what if they had a unique functionality in their home game, Minecraft? There will be a new game rule that can only be accessed with cheats enabled that allows Amiibo to be used in the world and it can only be used in single player. This is to prevent players with large collections of Amiibo from having an unfair advantage over other players in an online multiplayer server or from gaining achievements. Scanning an Amiibo in the world either with an option in the pause menu or a special block that is given to the player when they log into the world with the rule enabled. All Amiibo are compatible with Minecraft, but Steve and Alex will have a unique functionality for the game upon being scanned for the first time.
Steve and Alex Functionality:
Scanning Steve for the first time will award the player with a skin of Steve wearing a black cape with Smash Bros logo on it and scanning Alex for the first time awards the player with a skin of Alex wearing the same Smash Cape. These are similar to the Legacy Console skins that featured Steve wearing Minecon capes. Just like the Mario skins, these can only be used on the Switch version of Bedrock and will not appear on other platforms like Mobile, Windows 10, or Xbox. After the initial scan, they will give the player loot from Blacksmiths. Desert Temples or Pillager Towers (With the exception of the armour templates)
Non-Minecraft Amiibo Functionality:
Scanning any other amiibo will give the player random items depending on the Amiibo's series. A good variety of items can be obtained from Amiibo, but nothing too good like Diamonds, Obsidian, Golden Apples, Goat Horns, or Notch Apples.
Mario, Donkey Kong, and WarioWare series Amiibo give Mushroom related items with a rare chance of a Gold Block.
Zelda series Amiibo give Emeralds, Arrows, Gunpowder, and a rare chance for a Saddle.
Pokémon series Amiibo give Water Bottles, Fire Charges, Lush Cave related items, and a rare chance for Ender Pearls.
Fire Emblem series Amiibo give Iron Tools, Arrows, Books, and a rare chance for a damaged Trident.
Splatoon series Amiibo give Ink Sacks, Dyes, Raw Salmon with a rare chance for a Heart of The Sea.
Animal Crossing Amiibo give Tree Saplings, Apples, Flowers, and a rare chance for a Music Disc (Other than Pigstep, 5, and Relic)
Kid Icarus series Amiibo give Arrows, Feathers, Glowstone Dust, and a rare chance for Blaze Rods.
"Other" series Amiibo (Game and Watch, Duck Hunt, R.O.B, Chib-Robo, Box Boy, Wii Fit Trainer, Third Parties, etc) give loot found in Dungeons with the exception of Saddles, Golden Apples, Notch Apples, and Music Discs
I cannot think of fair loot tables for Pikmin, Kirby, and Metroid Amiibo. What do you all think? I see it as a small bonus that allows survival players to get items like specific saplings, flowers, and dyes if they are far away from a biome where these are naturally found and a way to obtain some items that cannot be obtained in Peaceful mode. The skins are also a nice bonus for those who purchased the Steve and Alex Amiibo.
I do not support the idea as it stands, as it would give undue advantage to players using them. Instead, I propose that all Amiibos give you a skin of the character in question
This feature would only be in single player with cheats enabled. So, players who use Amiibo cannot gain achievements in their worlds or use them on servers to prevent having an advantage over non-Nintendo players. I initially thought of unique skins for every Amiibo besides the Super Smash Steve and Alex, but that breaks Mojang's "All versions are equal" mentality and it would be too costly to get all of the licensing to use all of them, considering that this is only on Switch. I imagine that many PlayStation players would be very angry or upset to see that Cloud and Sephiroth are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version The only console exclusive skins are Mario for Nintendo consoles and Little Big Planet for PlayStation consoles. Wouldn't your proposal also create conflicts with some already existing skin-packs? Since characters like Mario, Sonic, Banjo, Kazooie, Mega Man, Ryu, and Ken already have official skins for Bedrock.
Yesterday I published the Amiibo Vault Android application for Amiibo collectors or gaming fans. The app is non-profit without ads, I just want to help other fans like me to get details, compatibility, functionality and other info about Amiibo figures or cards. You can also scan your amiibo directly with the app and get all the info that you need to improve your gameplay. Hopefully, you can find it useful for your needs. Please leave any feedback to help me to improve the app. Thank you very much.

My suggestions: Enhancements - Throwable Fire Charges - On Phantoms and Elytra. Also check out The Minecraftian Language. This signature is not here to waste your space.
