Hey all. I'm TreeBird, a 24 yo, infrequent content creator, builder, and somewhat odd guy. and well, I've had an idea for a server that I want to bring to life. A new SMP, hosting content creation of all kinds, with a focus on large scale farms, built in fun, hilarious, inefficient ways. The best example I could give is somewhat like the builds of Hermitcrafter TangoTek, but on a larger scale. Along with this, I want to do this as a collective, long term project. Any projects done would be done for the benefit and use of everyone, in order to help us all build to our full potential. Aside from large scale wacky farms, people can have their own bases as well. No server resets, just a bunch of people taking one world as far as they can. I also don't see myself as any sort of leader, nor do i want any control. Id prefer it to be an even democracy where each persons voice is equal. This is an idea I've had for a long time, and I'm very passionate about doing. As for now, its been in idea phase while I've been working on my own project, which was initially a starter world for this thought, however, i think it'd be better do decide as a whole whether to use it or just start fresh. So, all that being said, here's what i have and what i need.
What i have:
-A world with a centralized storage hub and basic starter needs (ie, iron farm, small mob farm, ender xp) but nothing built to be the final solution for any need. As stated before, the world is just a self project I made for this idea, but also might just be put aside for a fresh world.
-a notebook of ideas for some farms and general world building plans.
-a brand new discord server to start bringing in people interested. https://discord.gg/mVF2VBdubG (extremely basic atm, plan on building with everyone)
-a lot of time and a lot of drive to make this work. also general pretty good MC skills i guess you could say.
What i need:
-well mainly people obviously, all like-minded oddballs, and either content creators or willing to be professional and respectful of members who are making content.
-someone with better knowledge of maintaining a server. I can put up the money to host a server but lack hardware to host a server myself, nor the knowledge of what keeping a server running optimally entails
-a name for it all. The only idea ive had for names is WhichCraft, but other than that, there's so many ____Crafts out there, idk what name would work.
I love this idea, and will push to make this work on way or another. Though i don't expect the server to get to any grand level of notoriety, I do see it being a long term, very real project. Not some open server for people to come play on, but a real collective of intelligent people who are really good at Minecraft and want to push the game as far as we can. Sort of like SciCraft, but focused on fun instead of efficiency. At this point, there's not much, as i wanted this to be group based from the very start, and having us all build this from the ground up. I hope you'll want to join me on this project.
With much love, respect, and weirdness, Thanks for reading, and happy crafting.
