New additions to permissions that can be given to players through the host.
You can choose to enable or disable the permission to:
1.) Destroy blocks placed by the host or a moderator
2.) Build within a 10 block radius of a block placed by the host or a moderator
3.) Use buckets, Ice, and Sponges
Why?
Being able to play with people us amazing BUT it sucks when you have to limit yourself to only playing with your friends because its too stressful to risk playing with strangers!
Well the combination of these permissions will allow host to be able to leave their gaming system without worrying about their hard work being destroyed AND players can continue building while the host is gone!
Before, you could only choose either or, which is "Let players build and destroy, but worry about my hard work being destroyed" or "Not let players build and destroy, and not worry about my work being destroyed". Both decisions had a BIG down side but with these new permossions, now youll loose out on nothing unless buckets are needed!

What do you guys think?
There definitely should be new permissions that give specific rules on what can and cannot be done on individual servers.
Obviously a rule like this wouldn't fit an anarchy server
but playing on a server with clearly defined and agreed to rules is a different kettle of fish.
and players destroying other people's work at that point becomes unfair and the administrator is well within their rights to ban that player.
I would like permissions such as World Partitioning, where players can only build, remove or place blocks in the sector of the world they were allowed to by the administrator, this would provide effective grief protection and would put an end to most of the trolling that occurs on Minecraft worlds if used.
This would make server properties file more complex and the user would have to assign players and the general coordinates they want to grant those permissions to, but the benefits it would provide would greatly justify this.
That way players don't have to keep backup files of their worlds (although still advised to) to restore something that was ruined by somebody else.
Ender chests and shulker boxes already provide some degree of protection against theft of items by other players, but it doesn't stop them from destroying the ender chest itself, locking you out of your earned loot until you build a new one.
But as it stands now, whitelisted servers are the only effective method on preventing world griefing, it's not perfect, but it helps.
Partitioning actually sounds amazing, id love that as well
And your other ideas are good too!
I desperately want the Devs to work on this because meeting new people is fun in minecraft but doing it "safely" AND fun is kind of hard
I literally tried to do it safely and all of the people i was hanging with left me because they didnt like the restrictions i placed lol... i have a mansion with lots of details that took well over a year to make, i cant have it destroyed in any way 😂
