Prior to the Bedrock Edition update, I felt as though this was a game that I could play the way I wanted to, which is something I love to see in games. However, with the forced autosave feature now, I don't feel that same luxury. I don't believe this should be a risk/reward game, so I don't see any reason as to why our option to disable autosave was removed. In fact, I feel the opposite way, now — I have to be overly cautious to be rewarded. That's not fun (in my opinion). It also makes me waste time when testing different seeds because I can't just not save it if I don't like it.
And I don't want this feature back just to benefit myself. In the old Xbox One version, I created a map and set up all the achievements in it to help other players — I can no longer do this as effectively due to this forced autosave.
There are more specific issues that I have concerning this, but they're more or less the same as what I previously said. Please consider this for a future update.
In theory that would work fine, albeit a lot slower of a process. However, what's been happening to me as of late is that all my copied worlds apparently get deleted whenever I shut down and restart the game. This has lost me several hours of work already, which never would have happened if I could just disable autosave.
hmm, never had that issue so can't comment. Still though, the copy is only there a a backup anyway, so doesn't really matter if it gets wiped on reboot? I know it shouldn't happen, if indeed it is, but the solution still works as having a copy for people to use to get their achievements.
I believe it was Helan, forget her last name now, but she heads up the community manager for minecraft bedrock engine, that stated that autosave will be an option (eventually). So good news, she did not give a time frame of when we will see it however.

On the one hand, yes; if it's just the copies that are being deleted, it wouldn't be too much of a problem. Key word there, though, is "if". With this bug, I'm afraid to even work on my main world on the chance that it'll suddenly disappear as well.

I couldn't seem to find the source on this, but if that's true, that's awesome.

you still can by using the copy/delete world feature. Slightly more long-winded admittedly, but ideal for your achievement world.
