The Fallout Vault is now complete! This project took me a bit longer than usual, mainly due to the fact I had to dig out a TON of stone. The final touches include a classroom, sleeping pods, tables, benches, banners, balloons, additional robots, revised door mechanism and glowstone around the pixel art.

I also was able to lure a pigmen to my vault that has been hanging around a random portal for quite some time. VERY dangerous! I had maybe a heart and a half by the time I got to my vault. Those things are fast and pack a punch!
His name is 'Slim'.
I did a test to see if an Iron Golem would attack the Pigmen if the Pigmen was named. It does! Luckily I made a backup before the test. I re-loaded the save and put the Iron Golem in the overseer office. His name is 'Strong". Strong and Slim do not get along so they have been separated.

Amazing builds... and here I was thinking survival was... well... survival !!
You can really get enough resources (actually, time to get resources) to build all that...? Interested in how you did the high-up stuff - do you essentially pillar up and build some sort of scaffolding and then take it down?

Thank you!
Resources are really not that difficult to get. Concrete has recently been my favorite to use. All that requires is Sand+Gravel+Dye. There is endless gravel at the bottom of the ocean. Underwater breathing potions (8 minutes) plus an Aqua Affinity helmet does wonders with a Silk Touch shovel. MUST use silk touch! If not, you'll only be getting flint which I learned the hard way. All my gear has Efficiency V so it doesn't take long to get sand, stone, cobblestone and everything else. Quartz and Glowstone are some of my favorite blocks but I try to avoid going to the Nether as much as possible. Not as difficult nowadays since I bring Obsidian, Flint and Steel and a Compass to get back to the overworld and just fly back home. Used to get lost for hours before doing it this way.
For high up builds, I pillar up with dirt or cobblestone depending on the state of my shovel or pickaxe for breaking later. I make a decent sized landing platform, maybe 6x6 so I can fly and land safely using my Unbreaking III Mending I Elektra Wings. Definitely looking forward to the scaffolding that is coming out, although it does seem a bit limited.
I have my next build idea but won't be able to complete it anytime soon. It will be a train and saloon from Red Ded Redemption. Problem is I will be playing RDR2 for the next __? months! Was hoping to finish before the game came out but been busy adulting.

Very nice. I assume you have a fishing room to do your repairs?
Do you graph out your pixart or just wing it?
I've settled into carrying two shovels; there are times when the Shovel of Death (Efficiency V) cuts a wee bit more than I want in a single swipe.
Good idea with the Silk Touch. I throw away too much flint...
I'm not too familiar with AFK fishing farms or whatever you call it. I don't think you can on consoles. I have Mending on pretty much everything, but hard to mend Silk Touch. I either villager trade or kill mobs and switch to the item that needs mending.
For Pixel Art, I try to find good images on google that have grids. Some do, some do not. It gets tricky when you are hundreds of blocks up, using black blocks, AND it is snowing. My Goku/Superman pixel art was really difficult. Think I have a pic of it on this thread. I'll upload it here just in case.
I usually carry a Silk Touch AND Fortune PickAxe. Rarely carry two shovels. Just a Silk Touch shovel.
I've been off Minecraft since Red Dead Redemption 2 came out, but I have some plans for my next builds. Next build will be a western town inspired by RDR2. Also want to make a Zoo once Pandas come out. Stay tuned!

Oh, BTW, I meant to say, my favorite picture is the Enderman against the sunset in the distance. Interesting forced perspective (wait, he's really far away, he must be huge!) Nice pic.
Wow dude, these are pretty good!

I do/did on the Wii U. I wrapped a rubber band around the console to hold "L" down.
Killing mobs for xp is really inefficient.
How did you get your high-powered books, if not by fishing? Did you combine them? That's ... also really expensive.
I usually set up fishing overnight, or go do something else (can't touch the computer). It takes just over an hour to repair an 80% dead pickaxe.
I'm looking forward to seeing it.
