I have a pretty epic idea for my next build! I don't think it will take me too long. I already have a huge dragon flying towards my city. I plan on adding a few Ghasts next to and/or behind it. (White/Light Grey Concrete) One of which will be agro. Then I'll add a couple Blazes (Yellow/Orange Terracotta) and a giant Enderman (Black Wool OR Black Concrete) holding a huge block of (dirt block? TNT?). Possibly make one giant Magma Cube. These creatures will be coming out of a huge portal. I'm tempted to make a 23x23 Portal but a bit concerned real ghasts will come through (which might be pretty cool). I have so much netherrack that I will make it look like the Nether is seeping through the portal. I'm really excited to work on this. Right now I am designing some tents outside the castle walls like we are preparing for battle. I was struggling to make good tents the other day but I have some ideas I'll try tonight. Should have pictures of the progress soon!
So here is the progression. I finished up the tents and built the ghast. The materials needed for the Ghast is a lot more than I thought. Think it is in the 1,400 range. I'm really liking this. It might take me longer than I thought since I have to gather a TON of resources. Luckily it's all easy to get. Sand+Gravel+Bonemeal. It started raining as I was getting close to finishing. Apparently lightning struck my castle towers where the flags are. You can see the damage on the front two. I fixed it at 1:30am just to get a nice picture. Damn lightning! I plan on adding at least 1 more ghast, possibly two if I can stomach the grind.
I'm making a ton of progress on this project! Last night I ended up completing another Ghast. Much easier the second time around. I made a Blaze which was pretty simple. Then I added a Magma Cube on the ground in both the jumping and static state. I'm not sure if I am going to add more mobs or just start working on the portal now. I can probably put in a good session tonight so may add an Enderman and one other mob.

Finished up an Endermen and the Wither Boss! It was really difficult trying to create the Endermen arms since it was almost impossible to see the blocks, even during the day. Black Concrete is super dark! I have almost completed this project. Only thing I need to create now is the massive portal just behind the Wither Boss.

Finishing touches on my project! I added the portal with the Nether seeping through. The floating blocks gave it some life. Also added pieces of the stronghold both floating and in the lava. Pretty pleased with the results.
I'm not really sure what to work on right now. I'll probably travel and pick up a ton of Coral to start Terraforming by my base where the Aquatic Update is non-existent.

I decided it was time for another big project. I am currently working on a basketball arena. I've been wanting to do this build for some time but just the amount of resources needed has made me put it off. Especially considering I was completely out of stone. I've already had to fix my Silk Touch / Unbreaking III Pick Axe 3 times and still have much more to do.
This is my Day 1 progress. I completed the court and most of the bleachers. I plan on adding a huge Jumbotron in the center along with some banners hanging in the rafters. I am going to add the VIP Box Seats above the current top seats in the pics. There will be concession stands and bathrooms and escalators. Hoping to get this completed tonight, but I expect at least another day.

Day 2 Progress of the basketball arena. I got a ton of the exterior completed along with the VIP box seats and jumbotron with banners in the rafters. I'm going to add a huge parking lot. Still a ton of work to be done for the interior. This is my version of Staples Center. This is definitely one of my better builds! I am not looking forward to getting all the Glowstone I will need but I gotta do it. Should be completed with this in a few days.

Another project in the works. I am building a 2 hole golf course with a restaurant overlooking the 18th hole (well 2nd hole anyway). This is based off Balboa Golf Course in San Diego. My girlfriend and I eat breakfast here from time to time. I took some pictures last time we went and decided to recreate it in Minecraft. It seemed like a simple project but it's actually challenging since there is a lot of terraforming involved and it is partially snowing. I still need to add the first hole which will involve a ton of terraforming. I will be adding some golf carts as well. Most of this project is complete.

The ball is made of ALL the bones I have been collecting over the years. 2 full large chests and barely had enough to finish it. I still need to change the direction of the bone brick blocks on the ball so the dark side is facing out to make it appear like the dimples. I will also be adding a few golf carts. Still not sure if I am going to BUILD the golf carts or just use a few minecarts and call it a day. May even make tracks for the mincarts to ride on. Super happy with how this came out.

Pretty basic build but really adds to the world.
