Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums here. I've always prided myself on being one of the better builders out of the people I know (which isn't saying much), but after checking out the online community more, I see how much I have to learn. I started this world with a friend a long time ago back on the 360, and moved it to the Xbox One earlier this summer. We've had a few people help us along the way, but I've done most of the work myself. Below I've posted a few pictures of the city and the fortress in its center (apologies, they were taken on a iphone; I'm technologically challenged). I'm hoping there are builders more skilled than myself that could join my world or even just give some advice based on the screenshots (the roof of the cathedral in particular) on taking my building and construction skills to the next level.
My gamertag is Dr Von Pretzel, and thanks in advance.
I'm like you, I feel good knowing I'm a better builder than my friends (lol), but I'm still not the best.. I build small but detailed structures, as I quickly grow tired of long projects. The link I pasted above will lead you to a video that gave me lots of inspiration, and the channel that posted that, Grian, is an amazing builder and does tutorials on many styles of building, such as rustic, or a desert pueblo style.

I have recently stumbled across 'Grain' in my efforts to increase my building skills. Another great option perhaps not as straight to the point but definitely entertaining is 'Building with BdoubleO100' (See link below)
Just remember to be patient it's all about trying different things and taking your time. Oh and our channel posts a few Minecraft videos that may be of interest. (Not even close to the detail of the guys mentioned above but we are always improving)
