I came up with this design fairly easily it. It only uses 9 repeaters, 1 button, 14 Pistons, and 1 bucket of water. If there are any questions/suggestions on improvements please feel free to let me know.

Set it on a daylight detector so that it cycles every morning and evening and add hoppers below to collect the drops.
You can also do away with the repeaters and use a torch tower to power each side to save on resources.
