So new update added hoppers and I know it's already popular on the PC, but not everyone watches people play on the PC. So i made a little easy tutorial on how to make automatic smelter. Hope it helps you
Nice! I didn't realize you could feed coal into the side. I use the hopper on top to feed in the mats, and a hopper below to output the finished mats to a double chest. I just picked up the game a week or so ago so I had no idea these features were new to the One. I'll have to post a few of my hopper set-ups.
In theory, this would be a way to stack furnaces from a single source, but I'm not sure if two hoppers will work this way under a single double chest. If this does work, it shouldn't be hard to do something similar with a side input for your fuel source. I'll draw that up later unless someone can confirm that this method wouldn't work. It's hardly a compact form though...
