I have java edition and bedrock editions of Minecraft, but I mainly play on bedrock with my friends on Xbox. I like to make mini games for me and my friends on my own personal mini game world, but more elaborate and fun mini games require the use of command blocks. The usage of command blocks is crucial for some of the more elaborate mini games that I would love to make. One example being a dungeon/raid style game in which players can pick different classes that would have abilities with cool downs (spells, buffs, etc.) and they would also have intrinsic perks with whatever class they pick as well (ex: a rouge would have a speed buff at all times). Making their armor never break and having custom bosses with different mechanics to defeat them as well. Sadly, I cannot move forward with any of the mini games, and improve the ones I already have, because of the limited use of command blocks. Not to mention, it is very hard to find up to date tutorials for making bosses, cool downs, etc even when they don’t work on bedrock and only java. My racing, Mario kart style mini game has no power up items because I am limited to the small amount of commands I have. Mojang, if you ever see this, please make bedrock commands much more useful to use mini game creators that just want to make games for us and our friends. It would mean a lot to me and others as well. Thank you for taking the time to read this as well!
I think you're just not being.very creative. I have a mario kart, a boss battle nearly complete, bomberman, soon smash bros, I have a gauntlet Im working on and a ton of mini games.
I feel for you in the sense that going from one which has a lot more to this one which does have less would be frustrating but having more constraints should force you to come up with more innovative solutions. I get CD timers, boss healthbars, giving people custom items.
If you ever have a question I can try to answer it on the forums. You can also come check out my world if you're curious about some of it
Drhubs makes a good point. You have to be innovative with the commands you are given. I am able to create effective systems on my own now days, but when I was first starting out, the youtuber @dakonblackrose helped me drastically. Most his videos are tutorials for server related, bedrock edition commands. Watching his videos just kind of opened my mind to the possibilities of what commands are capable of. I recommend checking out his channel. I feel as though it may help.
Don't forget to utilize behavior packs and texture packs.
