Same double piston extender, different outcome. Does anyone know the reason? They are in different chunks, in a new world. If I try to build another one in the chunk that the piston extender doesn't work in, it also doesn't work. Though there are multiple chunks that this doesn't work in. This may not even be a problem with chunks in this world.
Sorry for 7 day late response. I am not sure if there are supposed to be priorities on client side but I know this for realms. The redstone is powering the block below it which powers the bottom piston and then the redstone is being fed into the top piston. Because this timing is so quick it can vary which piston actually gets to fire first and based on this you get the two different results that you see intermittently.
The good news is it is not your world. The bad news is it is one more reason to hate Bedrock redstone. If you account for this you should be able to get a double piston extender working that doesn't that that discrepancy
This was in Java Edition, I probably should've mentioned that. But you still helped a lot and a small change in the timing with some repeaters fixed the problem. Thanks.
