So I'm making an adventure map with a special level up sort of system, where every 2 levels you get 2 more hearts via health boost, and every 10 levels you get speed, strength, jump boost, and 1 other effect, alongside the previous health boosts. It works fine from levels 2-8, however once I get to level 10 and up the health boost just simply doesn't work. I mean, the effect is applied, but my hearts always stay under 10, even if I apply some instant health to refill it. I've tried it on my own (same command block commands and everything) and it works fine without the system, so it has to be the other effects messing it up, right?

UPDATE: I forgot to mention I'm in 1.12 and not 1.13 bc worldbuilder only went up to 1.12
Try clearing your effects and reapplying them
