I have been looking and searching google for days and cant seem to find what I need. I am just getting back in to Minecraft and have forgotten a lot of what I used to be able to do with redstone. I have a row of 16 redstone lamps horizontally, with no space in between them. I want to be able to light them individually depending on what input is activated for that lamp. i don't have any room below them, about 2 spaces behind them, and tons of space above them. Is there a stackable what to individually light these lamps? I apologize since im sure this has been asked before but i can not find it. Thanks everyone. Oh and this is for XBox One edition with the aquatic update if that makes a difference.

Put a block on top of, behind, or below each lamp and power those blocks instead. Redstone currents "leak" through blocks.
Thxs Dom, I will try this tonight.
You're welcome.
