i am building a world for my kids to play in and to learn how Redstone and command blocks work. Some interesting stuff.
So ive made a few farms and a massive item sorter. They work great. The issue is that at times the munecart I’m using to ferry the items from the farm to the sorter ended up stopping and not going on it’s way.
I’d like the minecraft to empty everything or pick up a full load and carry on. I’ve done this by have an activator or detector rail trigger a very loooong and slooow signal through maaaany repeaters and feed the signal back into the powered(currently unpowered) rail it stops on. Half the time something goes wrong and the cart isn’t shipped back.
I was thinking maybe I went to far away? I’m pretty sure it happens when I’m nearby. But that’s my only guess. More info on how far I can venture from that area would be awesome. Also more info on how to set ticking areas for that area?
I can probably help. First, are you playing Java or Bedrock? I play Bedrock I can give you specific syntax help with establishing a ticking area so when you walk away it keeps sorting.
Another note, with ticking areas it only works on a small area so you might end up having a few "concise" areas that you have set to a ticking area that the minecart weaves between.
Also, for the sake of timing as well as patience and space, would you be interested in using a compact timer that would be able to serve the function of laying down a million repeaters? Depending on how you do it you could also toss in a T-flip-flop which is a very useful circuit function in builds (it's essentially a lever but it would be activated by the circuit itself)
Im interested in anything that works lol. I just added an automatic skeleton spawner / item collector! So slowly my items need more moving as time goes on. End up backed up/ items despawning because carts aren’t running!

I’m guessing Bedrock for XBOXONE.
