255 makes you unable to jump i believe, you can look up what amplifier does what on google, as some reduce your jump and others skyrocket you (same for the levitation effect)

i gave the jump boost effect to myself as i did like this:
/effect No_Nick jump_boost 1000000 255
and i thought that it was effecting me, but i didnt got any effect.
so i retried after drinking a jump boost potion, and yes. it wasnt working.
i got the speed effect in same routine, and i tried to give me a jump boost while i got a speed effect and didnt.
can you find whats the problem?
Potion effects derp out at such high levels for some reason. If you stand on a cactus with jump boost 255 and jump it works. It's bizarre.
