The sweet and succulent scent of roasting meat and cooling pies waft through the air of Rakust Dosim. The first dwarves are busy experimenting with different recipes as the rush to meet the deadline. Our server is one of the few roleplaying games, on any system, in which the players actions and own lore will have the opportunity to become part of the larger world!
In a startling turn of events and through no small amount of hard work and determination, Kindello Lonoti was discovered to be the vampire mastermind behind the attacks!
He has since been decapitated and Nisria Hammerfist is now Overseer of the Fortress!
It's not every day that one outlives the end of the universe.
Armok, wielding his hammer of flame, drove a great spike into the earth and tore it asunder.
The Elves were fortunate enough to see it coming. As Armok's blazing form crested the horizon, those few Elves bold enough to resist activated a device of enormous magical and spiritual power. Styled after the Dwarven airships, it was meant to lift their homeland far above the calamity below. Instead, it lifted them out of reality itself as the powerful spirits of nature sought to escape their confinement and return to their home plane.
Now the city drifts on in the space between worlds, a refuge in precarious balance. When they first learned of their new plight the Elves sought to construct a portal that would find them a new home, but instead found the Warpways: A place of shifting, treacherous paths that lure travellers and horrors alike to an eternity of wandering in the endless dark. All was not lost however, as from this portal other Elves began to emerge. Castaways from magical experiments gone awry and refugees from other catastrophies alike, Elves from dozens of worlds and times to which they can never return.
With the arrival of the Dwarves comes a new spark of hope: Hope that the Elves might escape the gradual stagnation of their small island, and hope that the two races together might somehow escape the end of existence once and for all.
Mourning bells toll over the fort, the Miner Dulkham and the Dwai Isla have fallen due to the Fey Mood. Driven mad by the Fey, Dulkham killed Isla, and in revenge, The Shrine Maiden and Priestess Makkata slew Dulkham.
BrenTenkage here, I'm one of the newer RPers who came on a lark when I was looking for Dwarf Fortress roleplaying servers, found this, had fun, and I'm still having fun. Highly recommanded, Story tellers are really nice, they try to accommodate ya for how ya wanna play and the events they can come up with are really enjoyable. Like that time there was a improtu chicken rebellion, the kobold monorail, and who could forget the time some dwarf had mini golems inside him trying to fix him up, care of those red hot chili pepper creepers.
Honestly this is one of the better roleplay servers hell do they a lot without needing mods so its not gonna task your system as much.
The server on the outside appears simple and done with little effort, however once you get past the whitelist, your meet with greetings, offers for help, and messages on what the different races and classes are. The server is medium fanasty, and while it's not Tolkien level of magic or monsters, it boosts a unique death system to challenge players. The dwarven part of the world is richly sat in lore and history, spanning three years of history. The Elven part of the lore is very interesting, and takes a wild spin on the normal Elves.
Pro's:
-Rich history and lore behind each of the locations, past and future.
-Friendly Staff and members.
-Interesting spins on previous dry, stale lore.
-If you like playing on Hardcore, this game is perfect.
Con's:
-The death system is a large turn off for many new players, who either quit on their first couple weeks or make filler characters.
-There's little to no incentive to play a good character because of the poor afterlife system.
-Poor in-game conflict resolution system. Little to no issues are solved via RP, and instead settled via PvP.
-As with any game, there are groups in the game who use their power to bully other players around out of character. This can lead to frustration of not fitting in with the crowd.

The recent spate of animal killings has been linked to a master vampire; a being who has survived the world being un-made and re-created.
In a startling turn of events and through no small amount of hard work and determination, Kindello Lonoti was discovered to be the vampire mastermind behind the attacks!
