So I've located a Zombie spawner extremely close to my base, but the spawner itself is located at y -52. Because it is so close to bedrock, I had to use a bubble elevator rather than having the drop straight into kill pit. The problem is that the water source blocks in the bubble elevator will flow into the water that is pushing the mobs into the elevator. So I put fence gates to prevent this. But then the mob will get stuck in the 1x1 space with no water. I can't get a villager to it to lure them to the elevator, because the spawner is directly below a large mountain. Also, I'm pretty sure the fence gate/wall trick doesn't work on bedrock. Any ideas? All greatly appreciated!
The easiest solution is a different mechanism. I know in bedrock mending isn't as good but surely a mending smite sword would let you take out hordes fairly fast manually?
If you could draw a diagram of your mechanism it would help as I don't exactly understand what the problem is, how do the zombies transition from elevator to fall (as this seems to be what's not working)
