I've been grinding for a couple of years on this survival world, and I had a mending book. Used it on my elytra once I found one. Recently discovered a dupe glitch, and have been looking for another mending book to start with. Been looking for a couple of weeks, but unfortunately found nothing. Even been fly 30,000 blocks away for stronghold libraries.
Problem:
Looking for some sort of thing that I can /give myself a mending book without enabling cheats. I know this can be done on Java with NBTExplorer, but I am playing Java. I basically just need a mending book without enabling cheats. Grateful for any help (:

Really easy, either get it by trading with villagers or from fishing (you can get enchanted items from fishing). If you attempt to get it from fishing, be patient, it can take a while. Goodluck!
As mending books are treasure enchantments, you will not obtain them from enchantment tables and many structures. Fishing and trading are the best bet, otherwise look up on the wiki which structures allow its spawning. Piglins will also rarely trade books so if you have a lot of gold...
