I am absolutely new to this and am writing to try help my 7 year old. We made a car together on the Switch version of Minecraft. We followed the online instructions (although not clear these were for the Switch) to the letter (more than once) but could never get the sticky piston to go in and out automatically. If we put the red stone on the piston it extends and then when we mine the stone to remove it, it retracts but we can't get it to extend and retract automatically.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong so I can look a "hero" dad to my 7 year old
