I'm having issues. I give them see grass and then try to follow the one that looks ready to go lay but when I jump in the water they both turn and look at me or if I'm at a distance where they don't look at me they just swim around not going to a home beach. I've waited for a while too. What am I doing wrong?
The way I do it is to pile up on some dirt or something, then drop the seagrass. The turtle's AI won't detect your player, but it will detect the grass.
Also, to be able to breed turtles, you will need to trap them on the beach where there is both sand and water. They take a painfully long time to breed, so don't be discouraged, just make sure that the seagrass has been sucked into their inventory, and remember to stay close to them.
