okay so my friend created a world and we have both been working on it together from different consoles. I would like to work In his world when he’s not playing but I can’t join the realm unless he’s on. So I was wondering if there’s a way for me to get access to his realm even if he’s not playing. I’ve tried typing in his “seed” number to the “join realm” but the game tells me I can’t join unless I have permission from the realm owner. If anyone knows how I get access to his realm without him being on PLEASE LET ME KNOW -thanks
never dealt with realms but I think you've answered your own question
the game tells me I can’t join unless I have permission from the realm owner
So I am going to take a guess that your friend hasn't giving you the necessary permissions.
Looking at Realms FAQ it seems that you NEED an invite to join & that Invites will expire after 7 days if not accepted, the only other option it shows is one to make you an 'operator' that seems to be a 'not quite full admin' option
EDIT: found this post by searching.. Seems to support my theory
I’m still new to this game and when I said realm, I meant world. He has invited me to his world many time and I can join him without an invite as long as he’s in his world, but I can’t have access to his world without him there. He’s promoted me in his settings but when I type in his seed code it says I still need his permission to join his world. We can’t find anywhere in the settings to give me permission. Is there a way he can make his world public so anyone can come and go as they please?
