Hey guys! I’m trying to put together a portfolio as a builder on Minecraft, but i havnt built anything yet... What are some tips and tricks about putting your portfolio together that would help me out a lot? Thanks!
I would think the first step would be to build something?
Yep, what he just said ^^^^^
Joking aside though, if you really are just starting out I would suggest keeping a record of all your builds so you can look back and see your progress. I wish I still had some of my first builds so I could look back and laugh at them. Although too be fair, I think the quality of my builds have become more function over form as the years pass. I'm just a survival player mainly, so generally looking at creating the most efficient bases possible with the materials at hand, possibly progressing onto more indulgent builds as an end game project. But usually by that point I'm bored of the world/minecraft, take a long break and then start a new one when there's an update.
The only advice I can give you is, please be original, minecraft has been done to death a million times so only something exceptionally well made or unique will ever get noticed and if you're creating a portfolio then it must be with the intention of being noticed.
Try and stick with a theme or style rather than a random mixture that has no identity.
