I'm hosting a world in Windows 10 edition that I play on with my friends, and I end up playing longer than I mean to so that my friends can keep playing on the world- I'm used to the hosting from Java edition, where if I disconnect everyone gets booted off.
So- out of curiosity, if I log off the world that me and my friends are playing on, will they get booted off or will they be allowed to continue?
If this is a Realms world that you subscribe for, it is essentially a server, available to your invited friends as long as your account is maintained. You need not be on - at least that is what I gather from realms FAQ.
With Java, opening your world to LAN lets others connect locally, but as soon as you exit game, they are booted. However, if you have an always-on PC, you can set up a server there. (Bukkit, Spigot) As long as that server is running, people can connect whether you are playing MC or not.
