Hi folks. I'm appealing to the hive mind for some info as I've tried searching for this, but haven't found anything. I've explored a 3x3 grid as 4/4 zoom on the map tiles with a tenth tile on the bottom left and they've all lined up perfectly until I try for an eleventh tile. No matter which tile I try next, they overlap previous tiles by around half a tile and nothing will line up. Is this a bug or is it normal? Is there anything I can do about it or am I better off having separate 3x3 grids rather than trying to tile the map of my world together? Any help is gratefully received.
Is any one else having a problem with maps?? I tried playing a new world just to see what happened. I started the world with a map zoomed to 3/4, cleared the tile and then, while I was up towards the top of the tile I zoomed it out to 4/4 and the whole tile moved south by almost half a tile. I wasn't even on the tile myself so something odd is definitely happening. I submitted a bug report a couple of days ago (At least I think I did it right) but had no feedback from it at all yet
Bug fixes comes with updates, they wont do a update evry time someone finds a problem, you just have to wait until the next update...its frustrating i know but thats the way it works.
Seems something has happened at last. Several reports on the same bug have been folded into this on - https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-27025 - Maybe we'll see something done soon??
Are these worlds from before any updates, or newly created ones?
One of them at least is the original world I was playing when this all started, the second was another one I started after that to see if I could repeat the problem so at least one is pre-update but the second one shouldn't be. Maybe I'll try a new world when I get the chance and see what happens then. Going to be a bit of a bummer if the pre-update world isn't going to be fixed though
Well on xbox, my new world I started after the aquatic update definitely works. Haven't tried my old world yet. Yes. It would be annoying if they don't fix it for old worlds.
Whenever they bring out new biome or major updates I always tend to start a new world simply because there always tends to be a problem with some aspect of an old world.

Looks like you may be on to something. I started a new world and the maps did indeed line up. That's very disappointing as I'd spent quite some time working on my first world.
I am having map issues, but not this particular issue. First, a map does not render. It shows up as blank parchment. Second, there is either no locator, or a frozen locator. When opening a particular game again, sometimes the maps show up with content, but with frozen locator. Very annoying.

Anyone got any ideas, this is getting really frustrating now
Sorry not sure, and not had chance to test it out yet. Sounds definitely like a bug from your description. I would file a bug report
Well, I've submitted a bug report, any ideas on what the average response time is?

Well, I raised a bug report 6 or 7 days ago now and not a word from anyone. Is this normal??
I posted about this same issue... wasn't able to find a fix, so re-created all my maps!

Just been creating a map wall and it's all lining up okay so maybe try again?
Just tried two different worlds and no luck yet

I would hope they might fix it. Was it converted from console edition?

I think that's a different issue
