hey guys I waited awhile to get Minecraft on my Xbox one, so when I finally did only thing out was the better together version which I got. Now I am trying to transfer my Xbox 360 worlds over but I do not have the Xbox one version that seems to be the only place to retrieve them. If there is someway to download the Xbox one edition than I could retrieve them there and place them on the better together version. Basically anyone know the process on how to get my worlds on 360 to Xbox one better together without the Xbox one version installed?
I am in the same boat. My 360's disc drive is dieing so I just bought a Xbox one s Minecraft bundle. Only the Better Together version is available for digital download.
I think the only way to get the Xbox One edition is to buy a Disc version of the game. I am trying to find a cheap used one.
Sorry, but I think you can't get there from here. I believe that any Xbox One version program you get will just auto-update to BTU anyway. I get that you want to save all your hard work, but now you can do it again, but this time even better. Besides, we're talking a double conversion here and each is far from perfect, so you probably wouldn't like the end result anyway.
Finding a physical copy of the original version may be your best bet. Just make sure you're able to return it if it doesn't work.
What Geneo said is true though. I have my original 360 save on the BT version and it's pretty much broken. It crashes constantly, sometimes making random things like horses vanish into thin air, other times the crash deletes the world completely, meaning I have to re-upload it. It might be easier to just start a new world.
