Play Minecraft with a Controller With this you can finally play minecraft with a controller. I do know this works with PS3 Controllers but I do not know about Xbox controllers. Basically this uses a program called Xpadder. This lets you remap keys from your keyboard to your controller, sadly you cannot type with the controller, and you can also not use the 1-0 picking slots.
PREPERATION before we get things started you want to restore all your keys to default if you are using optifine make sure zoom is just a random key. you also want to make Cinematic View Toggle, to Caps Lock.
WHAT ARE THE CONTROLS? here is a list of all the controls Left Stick- WASD (Click is Q) Right Stick- Mouse (Click is T) DPad Up- F11 Fullscreen DPad Down- F5 Change Perspective Dpad Left- Scroll Left on Hotbar Dpad Right- Scroll Right on Hotbar Select- Tab View Player list Start- F2 Screenshot Home- Exit X- Space Jump O- Middle Mouse Click Pick block Triangle - Caps Cinematic Mode Toggle Square - E Open/Close Inv. Workbench Furnace etc Left Bumper- Right click Right Bumper- Left click Left Trigger- Shift Sneak Right Trigger- Sprint Ctrl
Installation 1. you need to get Xpadder open it up. 2. There should be a small controller in the upper right corner click it and load the "Minecraft Layout" 3. There Should be a page Looking Icon next to the small controller, in the middle part of the screen. Load in "Minecraft Controls" 4. Now if you click buttons or move your controls you should see it on the Xpadder screen 5. Open your minecraft and try it out. It is also always fun to click buttons in an empty notepad
