Hallo! I have been creating textures this way for a while now, and I thought I would share it with the forum!! Unfortunately I don't know how to post screenshots, so just bear with me, okay?
Getting Started:
1) Download two apps from the Google Play Store: Mercator and ISOPIX.( I have not created any of these apps and nor affiliate with them)
2)Open ES file manager( if you don't have it, download it too.) And go to sdcard\Mercator\ and you should see the following folders: Input, Output, and Unstitch. ( if some aren't there, just make them)
3) Download the Assets file for 0.9.5 ( search up assets.zip for 0.9.5) lol too lazy to put a link
4) extract the file anywhere you want.
5) COPY items-opaque.PNG and terrain_atlas.tga from the assets file to the Input file in the Mercator folder.
6) Open Mercator and press " Unstitch items-opaque.png" & "Unstitch terrain_atlas.tga"
Making Your Textures
1) Open ISOPIX
2) After the introduction, select the file symbol (the symbol in the bottom left) And tap "load image"
3) Select the Mercator file on the image loader and open the file Unstitch
4) Select "Items" or "Blocks" ( you can actually also go to "assets" and edit mobs and chests and minecarts and armors too)
5) You will be given a list of PNG files. Select the item or block you want to edit
6) Get creative and create your texture!
7) once you are finished with the image you are editing, press the file icon (bottom left) and press "save image"
8) When you are finished saving all your textures, open Mercator (APP,not folder)
9) Press "Stitch items-opaque.png "( it will give yyou a message with a bunch of code and say " Successfull, with these missing files: [] But just ignore it, it doesn't do aanything)
10) Press "Stitch terrain_atlas.tga" (same message will show, same answer applies)
11) Close Mercator and Open ES File explorer again.
12) Open the Mercator file and open output file and copy the contents to your "assets" file (Not the .zip, the folder.)
13) press and hold the assets file and press the symbol in the bottom
14) Press "Compress", name it what you want, and after pressing okay, the zip file should appear in the place where you have the assets
15) Open Blocklauncher and open "Launcher options", select Texture packs, press browse, and open the texture from wherever you put it
16) Enjoy!!!!
I hope you have found this informative and useful.
