The new update is live! It includes lots of minor changes and fixes. Nothing spectacularly new. See the OP for the download links. Here's the complete changelog:
-Fixed the magnifying glass in the seed picker (required the new ugc ui file)
-XP bar is completely updated, including the achievement progress bar (required the new achievements ui file)
-Fixed two manifest/import errors that could prevent some iOS users from installing the pack
-Command block textures are updated and actually animate
-Fixed the health bar not showing up on PE devices (iOS and Android) (See below about the PE/WIN10 versions)
-Other prior commits made by JamsAndJellies (see changelog here)
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
The health bars have changed in 1.0.4 and are no longer the same between PE and Windows 10. To get around this issue, I have created two branches of this pack. PE and WIN10. There are separate downloads for Pocket Edition (iOS and Android) and Windows 10 Edition. THESE PACKS ARE INCOMPATIBLE ON THE WRONG VERSION OF THE GAME (example: using the PE version on Windows 10). IF YOU USE THEM ON THE WRONG VERSION, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE YOUR HEALTH BAR, AND THE GAME WILL CRASH.
New Update to 1.2 Beta with basic support. Includes all 1.2 textures and fixes crashes on the 1.2 beta. I have now taken over this project, as JamsAndJellies has moved on to other things. Some things to note:
-UI will be updated eventually
-Coordinate unlockers do not work, use a map to show coords
-I may stop working on this if better ports are created, but as of now, there is no such port
There will not be any announcements for pack updates on this thread or Twitter for beta versions of the game. To stay updated on all beta updates, create a GitHub account and follow me on GitHub, or check periodically on the repo to see if there are any updates.
Pack updates to normal versions of Minecraft (i.e. no beta versions) will still be announced on Twitter and this thread. This news only regards the beta versions of the game.
It is too early to tell. The textures will not change in the 1.13 update, as stated by Jasper (the new pixel artist redoing the textutes), and likely won't change until 1.14 or 1.15.
XMrVizzy, the Faithful 32x creator, has stated that the will have the old textures in one pack, and the new ones in a new pack. However, I cannot guarantee this as he has not started work on the new 32x textures. It just is too early to tell.
I'm having issues using both this pack and the BedrockFaithful port on Curse where the game is blending the colours into 16x resolution on 1.2.7/8 on the iPad Air 1 (it works fine on Android). It only occurs for placed blocks and nothing else, UI and inventory blocks are fine. I've switched all settings on and off to see if it does anything but it doesn't seem to.
EDIT: seems to be intended behaviour according to the issue manager. It is automatically applied when the game detects its on a low end device.
Yeah, it's disappointing that this is intended. It seems to be pretty similar to the game locked at 6 chunks on iOS. A possible solution is to free up A LOT of storage (deleting photos and apps), but a lot of people haven't had luck with this. Other than that, I would just try to stick to Android.
