So you want to make a 1-minute timer in MCPE. Do you want to make something like
OrOr simply
?
This is a super compact 62-second timer (pig) / 58-second timer (chicken). Basically you will get 13 seconds for every 1 extra cobweb blocks (13 seconds/block), or 21 seconds for chicken (21 seconds/block). Minecart with air/animals in it fall slightly slower than chicken.
Remember to leave at least 3 air blocks (2 air blocks for chicken) between the farmland and the cobweb so that the farmland will become dirt when the animals fall down. Also, you don't have to wait for the farmland to be hydrated cause hydration of farmland will not cause a block update. If you are using lava instead of water near the farmland, you can plant something in the farmland so the farmland will not undergo dehydration. Adult animals are recommended.
Note: using cow/sheep rather than pig add 5 seconds to the timer due to their larger sizes. Using chicken instead almost doubles the duration.

The n-days redstone alternatives timer (with download):
This timer runs for (10 + 3640 x number_of_cows) seconds (basically an hour per cow).
Breaking the gold block starts the timer by releasing the minecart to the cows. The empty minecart then carries a cow and enter the ramp according to the south-east rule. The cow suffocates half of a heart when passing through the diamond block and fall into the cobweb, continuing the loop. Therefore a cow can pass through the diamond block 10 times and that will be one hour. When the cow dies in the 10th time, the empty minecart returns to the cows and pick up another cow.
When there is no cows left, the empty cart cannot reach the top of the ramp because it does not have enough energy to overcome the friction. The empty minecart thus went down the ramp. It then pick up the sheep and the sheep falls down when the minecart is destroyed by the cactus. The sheep then convert the farmland into dirt, destroying the dry sugarcane, letting the gravel to fall and destroying the sign chain. The timer ends here.
The (10^n)-years redstone alternatives timer (with download):
The redstone alternatives timer shown above contains a few minecart loops, which I called them redstone alternatives "gears". When you break the gold block, the minecart is released and it will carry a cow and run a loop with period of 31.5 seconds. When that cow passes by another cow in the second gear, the cow is pushed forward to the next crest and stopped by the cobweb. The second cow is pushed again when the first cow passes by another time. When the second cow is pushed 10 times, it pushes the third cow while returning to its original position. Therefore they act like gears.
When the last cow is pushed for 10 times, the cactus destroys the minecart and the cow will activate the redstone alternatives pressure plate. The timer ends here, and it will be a whole earth year, with an offset of at most a few days.
You can multiply the timer's duration by 10 for every gear you have added to the timer.
Your Welcome. I have to say, how did you know how long it takes for the years one? Because you obviously did not measure it :PWait, I am acting dumb, you multiplied it

(This timer in the download consists of 24 cows, which means the timer will run for a few minutes more than a day)

Say goodbye to extremely long sand cactus/water/lava timer!
Thanks! I will work hard and improve my timer model.
Update: Added a even compact timer (151 seconds/block)
Your hard work of skill and talent of Redstone Creations will pay off one day
Thanks!
Thanks!
