My son's kindle has recently updated to MCPE v1.4.1. It's working fine through my profile but won't load through his Fire for Kids profile where it was previously working fine.
I'm loathed to completely uninstall it from the device unless I absolutely have to as I don't want to loose all his worlds etc and he's already upset enough as it is! I'm hoping all his work will still be there once we successfully open up through his profile, although I can't see it via my profile - but that might be a separate thread...
I have had that issue a couple of times, and the only way that worked for me was a factory reset of the device - even deleting and reinstalling the game did not work. He will lose all of his worlds, but at least he will be able to play the game. If anyone else has a better solution that works, please inform.
Thanks for the advice, I've now tried deleting and reinstalling and that didn't work either. He's not bothered about losing the worlds now he found out he's got the new aquatic updates 😉 (Phew!) but I really need him to be able to play through his Fire for Kids profile as I'm quite strict on screen time limits.
I don't want to lose data for other games he's into so will hold off on the factory reset for a while in the hope that there may be folk out there with other potential solutions.....😬
I've had the same thing. My 2 boys have been playing minecraft for 2 years now .they got new kindle fire for Christmas. They work fine last Saturday next morning they wouldn't come up. They have need crying over this. Have you had any help?
The only suggestion I've had is to factory reset the whole device. I don't want to do this because it means he will lose the data from all his other games as well. At the moment he has to ask to use my profile if he wants to play Minecraft, not really a long term solution though. Please do let me know if you find a solution to this and I will do the same 😊
It doesn't even fully open properly before it crashes - black screen, minecraft logo and then back out to the kindle home screen.
We are having the same issue as above (on 3 out of 3 Kindle Fires). They don't want to lost all their created worlds either with a factory reset. My oldest brought it to my attention first. Then I tried to open it on the other 2 kid's Kindles, they opened once or twice, then went to the same above issue.
