Hi there!
Before I explain why I'm even posting this, let me start with some backstory. For almost an year now, I've been scavenging newbie survival servers for helping out and becoming an admin for. Some of these servers have achieved terrific ranks (50-60) on some popular server lists, mostly or wholly because of my contributions. However, each server eventually gets killed off because either the owner, who funds the server, stops funding the server entirely, and kills the server, or others simply kick me out, or won't listen to me after I help them achieve popularity goals. You may have never heard of any of these servers, but they always had a constant influx of players, and some random player or the other was always online.
Eventually (which is like this week), I got fed up. I decided to do what I wanted to do in the first place - make my own survival server. However, as a minor who receives no allowance, I can't fund this server of mine.
Ultimately, here's what I'm looking for for the server:
Required people:
• 1-10 funders who will consistently together provide 5 USD a month
• An experienced server headadmin who can take over when I'm offline
• A couple Admins with the right mind and some decent experience
I expect the above people to have basic ethics and they have to be sensible and straightforward.
About my proposed server: • 24/7 45 player Vanilla Survival
• Plugins such as economy, warp, shops, teleportation, etc.
• Factions, with which people can make common fortresses and work together
• Potential PvP, which is standalone on the server, but resources and armour gathered from vanilla survival can be used. By winning PvP, you get economy money.
• Some decent parkour, where you can get in-game money when you get to checkpoints
• Simple, systematic, and understandable credits and ranks for voters (on server lists), and donators
• Server will be easy to understand
• Hosting by server.pro - while many experienced server managers and owners may hate server.pro as a hosting service, I think its lack of lag, cheap pricing, simplistic file manager, and terrific features make it perfect for this server.
Why it should work:
I've worked with several servers in the past, so I feel that I know the Goldilocks zone for the server. For vanilla survival servers, there are two ends - servers with 100-500 player slots, which is chaotic and messy, and I'm sure that loads of people feel the same. On the other end, we have servers created by total newbies, with around 5 player slots, with not much to do. This server will be directly in the middle - it will have enough slots to make it fun, but not too many to make it really messy. There are practically no servers in this range. Why vanilla survival? This category is quite scanty, compared to other categories of Bedrock Engine (XBOX, PE, Nintendo Switch, etc.) servers. There is a huge audience for these servers - noobs who want to join servers often look for vanilla survival servers, but they are rarely straightforward, and there are plenty of noobs. Medium level players and Pros can also find vanilla fun, and up the challenges with our proposed additional PvP and Parkour. I expect the server to become semi-popular (I've done it in the past), and to be able to fund itself eventually, within perhaps a few months.
Why would you want to fund this server? As you may fund this server, you may ask why you should even fund the server. To begin with, it's not my server. As you may fund the server, you will become an Owner. I'll be equal if not subordinate to you when it comes to any aspect of the server. And as I think this is the right direction, you can expect to eventually not have to fund the server, and yet you will still be an owner. We could perhaps discuss further on this when the team is assembled.
Disclaimer: While I have made a direction for the server that will most likely work out, I cannot guarantee anything - I cannot guarantee this will ever work out, or if the server will ever be able to fund itself. I also cannot guarantee that any of the above will happen. I also am not liable for your money - the way you spend it on the server cannot be blamed on me, and I will not perform 'refunds'. You cannot hold me responsible for anything bad that happens to you.
However, don't let the disclaimer discourage you. The above worst-case scenarios in the disclaimer may happen, but are honestly unlikely.
