We both downloaded the game from my Apple ID. We are on the same network, we even signed in with XboxLive. But neither of is can join a world together. Do we need Xbox Gold? cos neither of us have that.
I'm also in a hospital, so it's on a guest wifi..
You can't join the same world bc of Apple ID (usually) but try joining a server
